I am native Californian and I have lived in the Golden State all my life. I earned my B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at the University of California, Davis. I am currently working on my Masters in Cell and Molecular Biology with an emphasis in Stem Cells at San Francisco State University. My current project is to investigate whether mesenchymal stem cell remodeling is a common mechanism for fibrosis in the bone marrow and stromal remodeling in myeloproliferative neoplasms, specifically in the JAK2 V617F point mutation mouse model. When I am not in lab, I enjoy weight lifting, drawing, graphic designing, and cooking. I hope to further my scientific career by attending an M.D./Ph.D. program after completing my Masters.
