Lab Profile

Emmanuelle Passegué
Principal Investigator

I earned my PhD degree from the University Paris XI, France and then performed two consecutive postdoctoral fellowships. I first trained as a mouse geneticist with Dr. Erwin Wagner at the Institute for Molecular pathology (IMP) in Vienna, Austria, and then as a stem cell biologist with Dr. Irv Weissman at Stanford University. I joined the UCSF faculty in 2006, where I am currently a Professor in the Department of Medicine, Division of Hematology Oncology with the Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research. When I am not doing science, I enjoy reading sci-fi books and exploring new territories either hiking or scuba diving.
